Please give a warm welcome to PTB’s Scholar-in-Residence, Dr. Tyra Sellers, J.D., Ph.D., BCBA-D. Formerly the Director of Ethics at the BACB® and CEO of the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts (APBA), Tyra is an accomplished fixture in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with more than 30 years of clinical experience.

Tyra is also a former professor and author, having published several journal articles and books on her professional areas of interest, which include supervision, training, ethics, and mentorship.

As PTB’s Scholar-in-Residence, Dr. Sellers will be covering a broad scope that includes product development and supporting PTB’s agency and university partners to make PTB’s prep even more effective.

Meet the Fall 2025 PTB Scholarship Recipient, Ariel Harris

Congratulations to Ariel Harris, recipient of the fall 2025 PTB Scholarship. A resident of Albany, Ga., Ariel is a future BCBA® with a personal connection to the field of behavior analysis.

After her son received an autism diagnosis, Ariel became passionate about how best to help and support her son. Now, after getting her master’s degree, she is ready to take the next step and begin studying for the BCBA® exam.

Once Ariel receives those four letters, she plans to use her certification to support other children and their families. Ariel’s ultimate goal is to help those on the spectrum become more independent and gain life skills through her program, The Future As We See It, Inc.

“I am truly excited about receiving the scholarship! It will make all my dreams come true and give me the guidance needed to succeed!”
