If you feel like you could use a “bonus day” every week, PTB has rounded up four tips for squeezing a little extra out of your day-to-day.
Prioritize Your Day
Still not getting everything done on your to-do list? Just writing down your tasks might not be enough. Give yourself more structure by organizing your list in order of priority. Knowing what needs to get done first can help you better manage your time.
Don’t (Just) Wait
Make use of those precious minutes when you’re standing in line, waiting at the doctor’s office, or in between other tasks. Study methods like flashcards are especially effective for these short study breaks. Or, opt for SAFMEDS, which are designed to be used in minute-long bursts of rapid-fire recall.
Habit Stack
Adding new habits to your existing ones is a great way to incorporate something new into your routine– without a major disruption. If you’re looking to get more done in the morning, try adding new (productive) habits into the mix. For example, instead of scrolling your phone while the coffee brews, tackle the other steps of your morning routine.
Schedule the Big Stuff
Sometimes, you just can’t multitask. Certain tasks require absolute focus and all of your concentration. For the big stuff, try carving out blocks of time on your calendar. That way, you’ll be able to tackle those more complex tasks at the right time– leaving the rest of your day for the other things you need to get done.
