Relational frame theory (RFT)

A behavior analytic approach to language which aims to connect and understand the relationship between language and derived stimulus relations. The theory hypothesizes that learned behavior is acquired through a combination of stimulus equivalence, naming, understanding, analogy, metaphor, rule-following, and other verbal behavior.
