Negative reinforcement

A process that occurs when a behavior is followed immediately by the reduction or removal of a stimulus that increases the future frequency of that and similar behaviors under similar conditions.

Hint: This is a good thing. Think of how good it feels to remove something aversive as a consequence for one’s behavior.
