Preparing for the BCBA® exam takes focus, stamina, and a whole lot of brain power. You’ve got to learn the entire Task List– from top to bottom– plus, the ethics code, core principles and concepts, the science of behavior analysis… the list goes on.  that’s no easy feat. When you’re powering through long study sessions, it’s important to fuel your body with foods that will give you sustained energy and focus. Need some brain food? PTB has rounded up five foods that fit the bill.

#1: Salmon

It probably goes without saying that salmon, and other fatty fish, have a whole host of health benefits. But, salmon is especially great for your brain. It’s full of omega-3 fatty acids, which are crucial for cognitive development and function.

#2: Eggs

Your morning breakfast just might be key to helping you power through the rest of the day. The choline in egg yolks has been shown to improve verbal memory and reduce inflammation. Plus, eggs are a great source of vitamins B6 and B12, folate– nutrients that all play a vital role in brain health.

#3: Pumpkin Seeds
